Updates and the schedule for our next batch!

Hey Backers,

Just a quick touchbase, as we prepare to ship your units.

Many of you have already filled out and confirm your orders via the BackerKit survey – thank you for this. We have now locked a batch of orders, charged the credit cards where necessary, and locked in those addresses.

For those ~3000 backers that have completed the survey so far, you will no longer be able to change your order or update your addresses.

As we mentioned, the next batch will be approximately 500 units – the exact number will depend on the final scrap rate. We are still waiting for the final count from the factory quality team concerning the latest production batch. These units will be shipped to the backers who have locked in their addresses, following the order by backer number as closely as possible (adapted very slightly to favor multiple orders to the same countries).

Orders will be shipped from our factory Monday, October 26. Naturally, due to COVID19, there are some additional shipping constraints. As such, we can’t precisely predict when you will get your unit – likely a few weeks after that. That said, we CAN’T WAIT for you to receive your units – please send us a picture of you and your Enophone by email or on social media when it arrives!

Next steps

When you receive your units, you will be asked to participate in the extended beta testing of the app. We have received invaluable feedback from the previous batch of beta testers and have integrated what we learned into a new version of the app that will be released soon. We can’t wait to hear your experience of trying it out for the first time.

Following this batch, our team will take a few weeks to analyze the assembly process and solve any issues we encountered during the production of this batch. Once that is completed, we will proceed with the assembly of the next batch of 2500 units. After that, it’s rinse and repeat to ship the remaining units!

Thank you again for your ongoing support. We’re in the final stretch now, and can’t wait for all of you to experience all of what Eno has to offer!

      Hey Kiril – the upgrade to 5.0 offered no tangible benefits for our product, so we stuck with 4.2 for this version!

    I am very upset about the delay in shipping. Every month I send an email seeking to know about the product I bought since April 2020. I read on the blog that you sent a survey to confirm the address but I didn’t receive anything. In fact, I do not receive any information about my product. When will you seek to understand what is happening with my order and my registration? There’s something wrong with that. I do not receive any update emails. Once again am I forgotten? If you have no responsibility to send me an assertive answer or if you are not going to send me my request then return my money. This is a lot of disrespect because every month I request information and you “forget” to send the survey to confirm my address?
    Why don’t you give me the status of my order? This lack of respect is unbelievable !!!

      Hey Victor – sorry about the radio silence. We update our blog and email backers quite often, but because of GDPR you likely haven’t been receiving the emails. I hope you don’t mind that I’ve added you to our mailing list so you’ll get future update.

      If you’ve sent an email, I will absolutely be getting to it – I’m trying to get through our backlog of customer service requests as quickly as I can.

      Regarding your order, since you ordered through our website there’s no need for the survey (the surveys are for kickstarter/indiegogo orders only). So all should be well – we’ll notify you of the shipping as soon as the order goes out!

    I am one of the first 200 backers in the US. You have taken my money for you extra shipping cost which is only supposed to happen if you are going to ship out units, but you haven’t shipped my unit, which you said would ship 10/13/2020. You missed that window and said they would ship 10/26/2020. Today is 11/7/2020 and they haven’t shipped and apparently you have lost the ability to communicate with the world because YOU ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND SINCE 10/23/2020.

    Even though you AGAIN missed YOUR OWN delayed deadlines, you are not answering any questions on any platform FOR 2 WEEKS!

    BUT YOU ARE STILL ADVERTISING LIKE CRAZY! Every time I go on any social media platform I SEE YOUR ADS! BUT YOU HAVEN’T SHIPPED ANYTHING besides the beta units you keep claiming you shipped, but I have only seen comments from maybe TWO PEOPLE. One of which is asking in a comment above why you will not answer his Kickstarter emails. Sounds kind of fishy.



    WHY ARE YOU NOT RESPONDING TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE PAID YOU AND WAITED SO LONG? What happened to your “Fair” level of communication you were referring to in the comments of the first October update?

      Hey Ron – I apologize if you feel hurt. If there were anything we could do to get your units faster, we would do it. Unfortunately, we underestimated the complexity required to create a new product category, and the delays have been the price of that.

      To clarify your questions: the batch of 500 units we mentioned last update have indeed shipped on schedule. Some backers have started receiving them, and more will continue to every day. If you were backer #200, then yours will probably arrive shortly.

      As a result of our shipping, we have been receiving an increased volume of customer service questions about updating shipping addresses (>200/week). I’ve been doing the best I can to answer them all while prioritizing product development, but I’m only human – I apologize if this has come across as uncommunicative.

    Where can one access Enosound? I know Enowork is in the Beta phase, but will there be an iOS application? An app for both? Both Enosound and an iOS app would be of great benefit during this chapter of my life. Things have change quite a bit for me during the wait, thanks to cancer.
