November has been a crazy month for us – after many months of hard work, shipping hundreds of units has been exhilarating. We can’t wait to ship many more, and get Enophone into the hands of all of our backers.
This update will focus on clarifying our next steps, and providing some details for both backers who have received their units, and those coming soon.
350 units have been received to date, with 250 more coming this month. We’re working on our next batch of 2500 units, which will be shipping in February. We will be shipping in the order that the units were purchased, starting with Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and then our website.
We’ve included instructions below about finding your backer number, and updating your shipping address. It’s important that Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers fill out the backerkit survey. If you ordered through thinkmindset.com or enophone.com, nothing more is needed.
Finally, we’ve released the latest update 0.1.2 to the Enowork app. If you have received your unit and are using the app, we need your help finding bugs – please reach out if you encounter any issues!
For context: so far, we’ve shipped two batches of units.
Batch 1 of 100 units were shipped in August, and went towards certification, reliability testing, and the initial beta testers. This helped us certify and test the manufacturing process before moving into larger batches.
Batch 2 of 500 units were manufactured in November, of which the first half have been received by backers. We’ve been working very closely with the backers who’ve received their units to debug both the hardware and the software. Thank you to everyone who’s contributed time and effort to helping us with this process.
The second half of batch 2 are currently being reviewed by the manufacturing team for quality control. Once they get the final stamp of approval, these units will be shipping to backers later this month.
Batch 3 of 2500 units will begin as soon as batch 2B is approved, and will take 4-6 weeks to produce and ship. We’ve already purchased and assembled the parts for this batch, and are ready to start the process as soon as batch 2B is shipped.
Batch 4 will begin immediately after batch 3, and we anticipate will similarly take 4-6 weeks to produce and ship. We don’t want to project a specific date, since the speed of this batch will in part depend on the quality of batch 3. One thing’s for sure however: this batch will ship to all remaining backers across all platforms!
In order to remain as fair as possible, we are shipping each unit in the order they were purchased. This order is as follows:
For Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers, please note that the backer number provided by backerkit is incorrect. We are relying on your pledge number from the respective platforms, not backerkit’s numbering.
We mentioned in a past update that for kickstarter and indiegogo backers, we will not be shipping your unit until you confirm the shipping address through your backerkit survey. You can access your backerkit survey through these links for Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

To be clear: backers who purchased through thinkmindset.com or enophone.com do not need to fill out any survey. We will be emailing you to confirm your shipping information prior to sending your unit.

We just released the latest version 0.1.2 of the Enowork app on Windows and MacOS. This update includes the following bug fixes:

We are currently putting together an FAQ, which will include support queries for the most common issues people are facing. We’ll follow up with more details about this once the page goes live.
